I have never owned one so its just my opinion..I think there are better options out there. AN H&R single shot in caliber of your choice and a $100 tru-glo would be a better choice, or like Rob said. a 30-30 lever gun. Tjose Rossi's just don't seem well built to me
thanks for the input.
My buddy bought a Rossi smoke pole a couple of seasons ago and hunts with it every year. He likes it a lot. I've shot it a couple of times and it seems very capable. Plus it's a good looking gun in my opinion. But if you're just looking for a good deer rifle for Florida, a 30-30 lever action can't be beat. They are rugged, easy to handle in the brush we have here and will take down anything we have in this state. I have a Marlin I inherited from my step father that's as solid as the day it was bought new. In fact, my friend Art reblued it and refinished the stock and it looks brand new.
I can't say enough good stuff about it... :flageagle
I own a 2-357s by rosssi and they are still tight after 20yrs of use. The gun looks fine to me that you are looking at......
if your not going to buy one until after CHRISTmas then season while be almost over.Save your money up and buy a better rifle. As far as ML go you can pick them up after season pretty cheap. I have bought them for $75 and less
