A buddy is selling cutco and is trying to push there hunting line of knifes on me. I looked at there site last night and they have a skinning knife and a gut hook that looks pretty good and really good reviews "on there site". Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them.

I have their filet knife with the adjustable blade. Works good and holds an edge. Expensive though at $80. Never seen any of their other knives though.

we have the home knife set, never used the hunting line..
they are 5-6 years old now and still as sharp as ever. good quality that's for sure.

down side is you really really really pay for that quality ( you could buy a few rifles for the price of a complete set )

i doubt you would be disappointed in them, if you can afford them go for it.

Never had one so I can't comment. I have heard good things about their kitchen knives. I quit using the gut hook on my knife and use a box cutter with disposable "hook" blades. They are scary sharp and just toss them when done. A gut hook takes another tool to sharpen, and is not easy to get it right

I have a filet and an boning knife they are nice but expensive. I leave the filet knife in the boat and it stays sharp and wont rust. Both of mine were gifts.
