Dont be afraid to buy something that is a little more high dollar with a climber. Just remember, your climber is a piece of climbing equipment and shouldnt be cheap in the first place. You arent gonna want something that was real cheap and the welds give out or something and your left hangin. API makes some great stands too along with summit

i like my API. climbers...ladders r great also as long as you r up high enough.mine r 15 to 30 ft from ground to bench.they can get pricey though.did pick up to nice 18 ft ladders w/shooting rail for 72 bucks a piece from the sportsman guide this year.sometimes after the first time up a tree in a new spot things can change as far as the view of a scrape or rub line or ambush on a main trail and a different tree 60 yards away may make a big difference.alot easier to move a climber than a ladder stand.

All you need is 1 good climbing tree stand. I love my Summit Viper SS tree stand not really that heavy and comfortable enough to sit in stand all day. Found a good deal on mine on E Bay

Im leaning towards a climber at this point. I still have plenty of time before season, but I'm looking for a good deal. Hey fla shooter what did you pay for your "good deal"? I'm just trying to get a ball park figure so I dont overpay for a stand.

I don't understand why it's "OK to cut branches to get your climber up a tree, but not OK to put in a T-screw to hold a lock on in a wma.I used to set up 3 diff api babygrands with ladders on the private prop I hunted in N.Y. and they worked well for 2-3 hours comfortably.
