Can't go wrong with Nosler Partitions. Probably in the top 3 bullets ever made

I can honestly say I NEVER lost a deer with a rifle with core lokts. I shot them forever in a 30-06, then dad and I had a terrible experience(s) with the Ballistic tip bullets. I saw first hand knowledge of bullet failure on game with them, after perfectly placed shots. I personally feel so strongly about my hatred for them, I feel they should be illegal for big game hunting

I now shoot Barnes in every rifle I shoot (223, 243, 25-06,30-06, 7mm), and can honestly say I have not had an animal take a step from any caliber. Even a liver shot on a big 7 point with a 243 knocked him off his feet and blew liver 25 feet behind him

Only reason I didn't go back to Core lokts is a quality control issue I don't like. I keep rifle bullets in a stock shell holder, and they will tarnish in the slightest bit of damp weather. Literally turn green if you don't take them out. As far as performance on game...like I said I never lost a deer with one

I've had as many DRT's with the core lokt and BT and heart lung shot game than any other. However, if I have to take a questionable shot I like knowing the partitions gonna do exactly what it always does. The Barnes monos are no joke either, as long as you've got enough speed to open them up.

I'm too exhausted right now to look up the ballistics, but the Barnes will open at very slow speeds. They open well in m/l saboted loads, which are slow as heck. and now they are loaded in lever calibers and pistol rounds

My pard had a few 140that old school TSX's fail to open in a 7mm08. All resulted in dead critters so its rather hard to call it a bullet 'failure'up though....

IL2H, every pic of yours I've seen always seems to be in the same spot in the neck, I doubt any bullet (except maybe a bt) wouldn't work. I load nosler partitions exclusively now over 25 yrs and they work consitently fast or slow, near or far, always good expansion and complete pass thru's, so I've found no need to look any further. however if your gun shoots another more accurately go with it. I'd go with the 130 gr too, 150's for elk/bear or real bad azz hog.
