Yes, keep us posted!!

I'll be heading to the range, either Babcock Ranch or my gun club, in the next week or so to start tuning my rifles. I might bring my .243 to see what I can do with it. It's a NEF single shot with a cheap scope but I may want to use it on Big Cypress coming up. I have about 8 boxes of Core-lokt ammo too. Once that's gone, I'll start re-loading the brass and experimenting with different bullets to see what shoots well in that particular rifle.

Well the Barnes bullets straight devastated the deer I shot. He walked about 15 feet after the shot and I let another one go. He hit the floor hard. The second shot wasn't necessary but he left himself open for it. When I gutted him I found that one of his lungs was cut clear in half :eek and fell right out of him when I opened him up. The other lung had a hole about the size of a silver dollar. The exit wound wasn't very large but damage it caused was very impressive. Here is a pic of the exit hole. Very happy with the results!!

Thought you'd like it. Most ammo makers load it too. Nice job.

It was close, About 30 yards max. The further the better I think. If it expanded that close, it will create More damage further away.
