I would get the NEF/H&R single shot. I have seen and held the Rossi combo guns, and in my opinion they are sorta Mickey Mouse looking. The H&R's are a good, durable gun and shoot well. I have one in 25-06 that I got on here and it has become one gun I enjoy carrying nowadays

the H&R and NEF are the same company now I believe. which mdl/bbl did you go for? if you haven't mounted the scope yet, I might suggest a dnz (deadnutz) one piece brand. the base is one piece, curved to fit to the bbl, quality steel and the rings are a part of the base, so you have less attachments to make and would be much easier to diy. mine came originally with a picatinny rail to the bbl, then bases to that, and rings to that, with quick release levers that constantly loosened up. I hated the whole system. a bipod is a nice + as the gun will stand up sturdily on the ground or bench with the action open or closed and makes shooting much more easy and comfortable. good luck. I think you made a great choice and bet you will enjoy shooting it also.
