Looking for a nice scope to add to my Remington 7400. Would like a 50mm reticle but I realize this may be out of my price range, so a 40mm will do. Ideally I would like a 3x9-40 Nikon Buckmasters.
if your avg shots are gonna be 30-40 yds, just TRY the open sights already on the gun. you may be surprized. even at 54 with my vision I can easily hit vitals with open sights at that range without my glasses, and it won't cost you a penny. and you will never have to worry about lenses fogging up or getting dirty if dropped or you fall in a swamp.
Very true. It came with an old Bushnell with See through scope mount. Sits too high for my liking though.
yup people either luv or hate those see thru's. personally I don't care for them. to see thru the scope you will GENERALY have to lift your face from the stock, or scrunch way down to see the iron sights, WORST OF BOTH WORLDS imo. but maybe there are a few people they will fit. personal preference.
Refield scopes are damn nice for the price
