I was naive, and raised to believe if you did nothing wrong, told the truth and cooperated with police you would never have anything to worry about, let me tell you first hand nothing is further from the truth today. there are thousands of innocent people behind bars right now only because they could not afford the best lawyers. I was not involved in a shooting but accused of something I DID NOT DO and looking at a mandatoty 8-18yr sentence. I thought I'm not guilty and thet can't prove I am so this will never go to trial, WRONG, as I said before it has nothing to do with truth and the facts, only what lawyers can get jurors to believe and vote on. my advice, keep your mouth shut and get a good lawyer asap and only talk to them, my case would have never gone to trial if I had done that. learned that the hard way.
