This is a GI-Issued M1 Garand from Springfield Armory. Has been rebuilt during it's time in service, with some H&R parts. This rifle is in good to very good condition, and the cartouche markings on the stock are correct for the 1950's. I have cleaned, and fired this weapon about 100 rounds. Its well taken care of and have to sell it due to the downed economy. Along with the gun, there is a canvas & wool gun case, a non-issued bayonet, and a new leather sling.
I am asking 1000.00 OBO, I have put a couple hundred bucks into the weapon since I got it, and its well worth over 1200.00 It shoots 6" groups @ 100yds with open sights very easily.
I also have 2 sealed tins of Greek hxp m2 ball ammo. Each can contains 192 rounds, in enbloc clips, in 4 bandoleers. The cans also come in a wood ammo box. Asking 150 Firm.
I also have an M1 Carbine for sale, it is NOT a gi-issued weapon, it is an civilian model, aftermarket Iver Johnson MFG, in the 1980's. the stock is pristine, and clean, comes with new GI-web sling, and also shoots nice groups at 100 yds. This gun also comes with a Canvas & wool case. (no bayonets on these guns.) but does come with a 2 mag pouch on the stock. Comes with a few extra mags, one is a 5rd hunting magazine, along with a 20 round mag.
