It depends on what is around the land.I personally wouldn't buy land to hog hunt on but if deer traveled thru it then it would be a different story. If there's a game trail crossing it or it borders something that holds game there's no reason you couldn't kill some animals on it. After a couple of shots on a piece that small they may get wise to you though.
Completely agree. I hunted a piece of property years back that was 1 acre. Deer were passing directly thru it all the time. 1 acre surrounded by many acres of woods can be a sweet deal
I killed 80% of the deer in my life out of the same tree stand. If that 2 acres is a bedding area or feeding area, you're golden....if not, might be able to attract them with feeders. Don't know anything about that area. Best thing to do would be to go check it out and look for hog sign.
Hogs are tough to keep in one place, I have camera's set up all over the ranch. I can get the same hog on different camera's miles appart then not see them for weeks, then they will show up 10 miles away on the other side.
Deer on the other hand tend to do the same thing over and over. I have a buddy that has 5 acres that butts up to a large track that has killed several deer every yr for the last 10 yrs. and every now and then gets a hog.
The property is surrounded by woods and nothing else. I was thinking maybe attracting some with feeders but will definitely have to go out and see for myself for signs. Will keep everyone updated.
id rather have 50 feet that butts up to another property then nothing any day!
