Been there. Done that. Rules for some, but not for all seems to be the main reason. The other thing is that the new guy tends to get the crappiest area with last chance at a new spot after all existing members have their vote, even though everybody pays the same. And often, some of the more "established" members don't even pay or pay significantly less than the new guys. Again, like milkman said, I can't speak directly about this club, because I know nothing about it, but these have been my experiences in the recent past. I've also experienced the problem where the area I got was the one nobody wanted to hunt, UNTIL I started getting some good animals, and then all-of-a-sudden, the next year, THAT spot (MY spot), isn't available, but I'm "given the opportunity" to take a "better" spot.

Checking out their website they definitely take some nice bucks out of there. Only 1 doe per membership from what the rules state though. $1450 just for hunting this club does seem pricey, + $200 more if you want to use camp w/no electric, but does have water. I'm sure the $200 goes directly to the timber company though. It seems to be almost in line with other leases in the area that I have researched. My last one over in Hamilton county was up to $1250 + $300 for camp last time I checked.

I would have to say the cost is relavent to the amount of members. 17,000 acres should have around 50-60 members tops.

That's high as giraffe coochie to kill scrubby forked horned bucks! Probably part of an old dog lease gone to still hunting, I'd bet. They always want a steep price for them, which is normally why they have alot of rollover in members. Similar to alot of the still hunt clubs in my area..

50-60 members on 17,000 would be outstanding. I was on a lease that was just under 6600 acres and we had 48 slots.
