It depends on if you want them to feed and bed on your land or one or the other really. Obviously location of the land would be the key, no matter what size it is. Check your neighbors closely and see if they hunt the surrounding properties.
We kill several 7+ pt bucks off 150 acres and another few off 450 acres on another parcel in Madison Co. The main factor on both properties being whatever the neighbor boys leave after they fire hunt their adjoining land. I have my dog kennels and palm nursery on the 150 acres so I watch over it better.
Our main problem is the young guys fire hunting all over the surrounding properties (typical bullcrap around here) but the GWs are watching for them. Find you some prime property in an area that had no surrounding hunting on it preferably owned by older folks without kids.
How much land do you think you need to hunt?
40 yards :archer
I found about 50 acres that border the Citrus WMA for $99k. The problem is most of the land is swamp and could never be used for anything.
