might it be possible/feasable to put in a 1/2 acre of clean fill with a few inches of top soil in a spot? a food plot in the middle of a swamp with a shooting house would be awesome.

I found about 50 acres that border the Citrus WMA for $99k. The problem is most of the land is swamp and could never be used for anything.

Holy crap that's high for swamp land. Check rayonier or plum creek's websites. I would try and pick up something with pines and/or ag use land to minimize property taxes. Also check the surrounding property for future land uses and comprehensive plan restrictions.

My girlfriends dad is selling his property that borders gulf hammock. He has 4 acres with a house that has been remodeled and a barn. The property comes with a tractor and an airboat. Has a lot of hog and turkey in his yard every morning as well as many does. Located off US19 in Levy county.

Not sure what he is asking but I think that it started at 140,000.

Yep. About $2500 per square foot.
