I'm in it. What specifically do you want to know? Doghunters are preferred and very few stillhunters get in unless you're very well connected with the board members. Also there's very little turnover rate for a club this size, maybe a dozen open memberships and approximately 100 applications for new membership yearly. I also forgot to mention that very few members are non-residents of Taylor Co. I did get a buddy of mine in last year but he is a dog hunter and had good connections.
I drive right by it every weekend going to my lease. It is on us98, and runs to the South back towards the coast. It looks like everything else in North Fl. Planted pines and hardwood tree lines. Most everyhting on 98 has been cut in the last three years, and I see deer just about every pass by.
It is a big dog club, and is well run from what I have heard. They do kill some big deer in there every year. They also have a big camp ground at Rocky's store just West of PerryAny ideas on how they tolerate still hunters? I've dog hunted in NC in the past, but sold out the CB and dog box with no funds to replace.
I'm in the Miz. Honestly, if you're a stillhunter and a non-resident of Taylor Co. you might want to look somewhere else. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just trying to be realistic so you don't waste your time. We have a low turnover rate and only let in dog hunters anymore. The hunting's not as good as it use to be a few years ago anyway.
sounds like a great place :rolleyes
It's the best dog hunting club in Florida and we are planning to keep it that way :tung
I met a local from Taylor Co who hunted that club. He made it a point to let me know how many doe deer he poached out of there in one season. I think he was at 13 when I met him.
A lot of poaching deer and there may be a lucky person kill a basket rack 8 a year. Everything else killed are pretty much spikes and button bucks from what I saw the couple years I hunted there.
