I just moved to Bradenton, and I too am interested in local places to hunt. Have bow, rifle, and shotgun will travel LOL.
Willing to help out with some work, or pay for gas for local opportunities to hunt.

You guys have LOTS of places to hunt check the fwc site. If you drive N,S,E,or W an hour or so their are tons of WMA's

Yea...one that closest to my house is the Duette Preserve... 22,000 acre land...But unluckly I missed an Orientation, which is a mendatory requirement before the actual hunting date, happened when I was still in the Army.... And it seems like they got lots of rule...
I guess the next closest place is Avon Park Air Force Range. And this place actually seems like allowing military personnels to hunt longer than civilians.
MAYAKA state forest.. you can just walk over a hog in that place.
I've been there before and I encoutered some lots of hogs from that place.
I was walking on a road with my buddies and a herd of hogs just jumped out of the bushes and we're freaked out lol
