trimmed up 4 water oaks on my grampas property this week and the water oaks are full just not dropping yet.
checked trees here some yes some no. Friends scouting are saying there no acorns along the river.
I was doing some selective pruning on the three live oaks in my yard last week and they are loaded with new acorns starting to emerge. More so than last year, which is hard for me to believe. I have been looking at the oaks around town and most of them have small corns with some having about half grown acorns. I live in Orlando. So what does that mean?
I hunted Tosohatchee, Citrus, and Arbuckle last year. They were all loaded just like the oaks in my yard. I'm hoping that is the case this year, too.
I was riding my bike down Lee Vista today in Orlando and some of the larger live oaks (50 years old +) already had acorns on the ground.
In the areas of Manatee county I roam.....there are none. I can't even find em ON trees.
