I've had my eye on this spot for 4 years now, since I was in this lease before. My lease mgr knew I wanted it and called me weeks back and told me the guy that had it got out. I waited as long as possible till season to see if anyone would claim it. It was still open this weekend, so I drug the Yamaha and disc out there for some quick work. These young pines and the hardwoods make like a halfmoon shape, so I can set up 2 spots on one. I cleared me a nice walking path both directions and disked up a couple small plots, and threw some seed. I split a bag of corn and dumped each half in each spot and threw up 2 cameras on it. Funny, as I am dragging the disc back to the truck, a herd of hogs ran out in the path to investigate
I put a ground blind, for now, at one end and will climber hunt the other end till I see if I want to drag stands over there
Nice transition area...that disc did a good job in that tall grass. How many passes to get it looking like that?
