I sew loops on my hunting shirt or bibs to tether certain items directly to me so they CANNOT get lost ( compass, whistle, neck knife) in my pockets car keys, tethered to my belt, cell phone, 2- hankies one orange/ one camo,chap-stick,marking ribbon maybe 20', bic lighter, meds for my back (muscle relaxers and pain killers and some benadryl in case of an allergic reaction)on my heavy duty belt with over the shoulder strap for support 45 pistol extra mag and aa maglight, heavy skinning knife, hand pruners, small 4"x4"x6" pouch with latex gloves,t.p., 2 nylon straps seat belt type about 6-8" long with large loops on each end to drag/hang game,4-6 cotton balls soaked in vaseline for fire starting, huricane matches,cash/credit cards/hunting license, maybe an energy bar/ jerky or some kind of food.all that is on my immediate person and cannot get seperated ( too easily)and wouldn't be worried if I had to spend a night or 2 outside. if I opt to carry a pack or bucket : large thick closed cell foam pads-2, one for back one for butt, thermos of coffee or water, thermocell, binocs, maybe a larger flashlight if pm hunt and want to stay out to the last minute, mosquito headnet light gloves, warm hat, windbreaker jacket.
