i don't like to carry alot of gear. gets heavy after awhile. as far as first aid stuff goes. had combat medic training in the service and first responder first aid. alot of things on your person already, can be used for first aid situations (jmo) my sense of direction is pretty good, usually forget a compass. but always end up back at the truck. gps works well ( i know somebody that could get lost, holding a gps) lol

Compasses help you when doing drives. Pretty much the only time i use one.
wow.. never saw that one.. the one i got is from a hunting speciality store.. hard to find.
