Deer that have an inadequate (proper needed) nutrition show obvious signs of poor antler development,changes in breeding and lowered reproductive rates. Declining body weights of both bucks and does are also a direct result of inadequate nutrition and are factors in the health of breeding.With all the studies going on with food and nutrition it appears that the correct sources and the timing of such plays much into the cycles of deer.It comes down to a proper food sources for health during the needed times can be a main health concern when it comes down to breeding rut and everyday living.So when a food source has been damaged or lost by nature or man we can see the downside of what will happen to herd growth.
