does anyone know around what dates are best for the rut in starke,FL.just got hooked-up with access to some private property in starke,but the land owner does not hunt and has know idea when the rut is.thanks!
I live just outside stark in middleburg, Fl. and from my experience the prime rut is between Mid october thru November. There is a second rut with alot less activity but that noramlly hits end of december. Now again this is IMO and when Ive had the best luck and the most activity.
Deer during rut here responds well to calls, I personally have not tried rattling much but plan to give it a shot this year. Also had good luck with mock scrapes in my area. Good luck and let me know you if you need any help with anything, im just a couple miles away from ya.

shot a 4pt buck this weekend about 9a.m..he came in to my rattlin about 60 seconds after i stopped.my first bow kill :rockon seen a few rubs and a total of 9 deer.good sign so far hopefully rut will be good..
Did you get any pic's.. If so post them up. It's been slow and we need to see some brown on the ground.
