the calvary is on the way FLDXT!!!!i have not been to GA. yet this year but hoping to next weekend for a short trip.....i just got into another 1k acre lease in GA this week that a local hooked me up with,at 250$ per member it was a steal...also has an earlier rut than my other leases so if the plan plays out right i can hit 3 diff. ruts in GA. this year....property borders 2 other trophy clubs..there were 6 mountable bucks killled off this property last year,one 13 pt scoring 157"...i smell a dream team victory party comin!!!!good luck boys

When does the Ga muzzle loader open? Early Oct right? I may have to ease up there for a long weekend.
Had a button head come into me at about 9am yesterday, followed by mama and one of her slickhead friends. As much as I want to put some meat in the freezer, that buttonhead was pretty small, and the does seemed to be feeding into me, but the wind swirled and mama doe hung up at about 28 yards behind some brush. I would've had a shot as she milled around trying to decide whether to stick around or not, but the deer was on my extreme right, and I couldn't stand up to reposition. :censored She eventually winded me or something, cause she gave a couple stomps and the buttonhead went back to her then they slowly worked their way off.
Behind me, in a swamp, there was a few egrets or another one of those big birds, and as the deer were feeding into me, the birds seemed to have gotten in a fight or something, cause all hell broke loose and it sounded like one of the birds was getting killed, lots of thrashing about and death squalls. That one bird raised hell all day.
I bet there are 25-30 squirrels living within 100 yards of my stand too. When can we start killin those suckers? I couldn't hear anything aside from the squirrels jumping from tree to tree and barking at one another and the stupid birds. :chain
