you can heat up the bottom with a torch and push the center out from the inside to make it a cone shape, so the corn will flow out more freely. like a funnel shape.
they make a piece for the bottom. moultrie feeders come with it when you buy it.. but im sure you can get the piece.. if not use a funnel.
If yall want to kill hogs, get some french drain pipe and cap it on both ends. Make the holes bigger and maybe drill some more. fill it with corn and tie it to a tree. scatter some over the ground and those hogs will find it. They have to work to get the corn out and will kick that thing all over the place. This is the good part when you go to the stand carry a plastic coffee container with a little bit of corn in it,and give it a shake every once in a while. Any hog within earshot will think someone is having lunch without him and you can slap pile them up with this method. Also alot less work and definately doesnt smell as bad.
The problem with doing that is they get nocturnal quick. Gravity feeders or tube feeders allow them to feed whenever they want. I agree with taking corn in with you. I carry a folgers can full and toss it out
We all got hogs! LOL.. just stink corn gets them to the point where they will come out when they smell it out of their regular schedule. Like if you got hogs only coming in at 3 am (non legal hunting hours) and you put this stink corn out they will smell it and take the chance of dying to eat it!..
