damn Allen you're a hog killing machine.why can't the state or govt set up processing centers so guys like you could just drive up and drop off hogs. no gutting/skinning for you, control the hog overpopulation problem, feed prisoners and the poor and save taxpayers a bundle. have some nutritious pork to go along with the govt cheese and honey, which is as good or better than the kind I have to spend good money on. plenty of inmates good with a knife and willing to work for free or next to nothing for better quality food and learn a trade ( butchering ) instead of how to be a better criminal.I tried to donate deer a few times in N.Y. and they expected the hunter to gut/skin and pay for the butchering. guess how that program worked out? ended up going outside the law a little ( hypotheticaly speaking of course ) and finding a ritzy restaurant in manhattan that would pay hunters for deer, but that would be illegal and why we never did it, but each deer was legaly taken with a license and tag using legal methods of harvest. to me venison backstrap and tenderloin is the best meat to be had but as for the rest prefer pork.and with just me and the wife one will go a long way. just dropped a frozen pork shoulder in the crock pot this am 1/2 btl of bbq sauce and yum, hard to beat and 30 seconds prep time.
