i bet it was either a panther or a bird. Birds make crazy noises "lol"
This Skunk Ape sometimes makes noised like that ,usually around 6:00 am. In fact every morning,sometimes with a little screaming.
The weirdest sound I ever heard in my life was from a mountain lion when I was in Colorado. The little cabin had walls just as thick as the plywood it was built out of. The first night there a mountain lion let out a scream that sounded like someone getting murdered. The next morning, there were claw marks all over the ceiling of that cabin.......From where I came out of the damn bed and hit it :skerd: :skerd:
I agree. I've heard that same exact sound up in the Bear Creek area. Didn't have a clue what it was until "the man in the big black coat" come a wanderin thru right under my stand and stopped, made the same sound, looked all around (not up tho???) and went on his merry way, after taking a giant dump right at the bottom of the tree I was in. Wasn't a very nice thing to do, but as big as he was, I wasn't gonna say squat. Next day, I served him up a bacon-wrapped "surprise" and didn't see or hear from him again. Of course, it was a couple weeks before I went to that stand in the dark. Often hunt alone and could just "see" the news headlines "Orlando hunter eaten by bear - Body found seasoned with bacon and pepper spray". No thank you! I'm thinkin it's time for you to move ur stand or start carrying a Dirty Harry special.
