I also got several awesome permits for WMA's down here . Been hunting the same places for several years but if you don't put your scouting time , you ain't bringin home the bacon . This ain't private land hunting .
I am pounding some boot leather in this WMA up here. Just got back to house. A good three mile walk today. Good pictures I got and got my opening morning tree picked out.

aint that the truth.next thing you know there will be a stand next to yours.to many lazy hunters that wont put there time in scouting and such,so they will just find somebodys elses set up and move in.So keep that info to yourself or tolk about it in private

i dont scout until a week before.. things change from week to week.
one week ain't gonna cut it , good scouting is what will make a season succesfull , specially in WMA's .
Tell that to FWC. Where I'll be hunting this year (user pay) you're not allowed in until 1 or 2 weeks prior to season. They keep the gates locked up until then. Makes pre-season scouting tough! :censored
