I'm wondering what kind of permits i need to hunt coots. I've read on fwc and I can't find it at all. There listed under migratory birds but so are ducks. I know I need a duck.stamp and waterfowl permit to hunt ducks and geese but do I need them for coots also .thanks for the help.

WMA stamp ...
Migratory bird permit ..,

If you shoot one to eat, you will probably need a bunch of garlic to kill the taste..they are called mud hens for a reason.........
