Outta season deer - Ignorant or mistake?

Lord knows it does get confusing. I'd give a day or 2 lee way max, maybe, depending on how realistic the guy and his story seem, but 2 weeks, no way

I almost made a mistake myself today. I went to Upper Hillsborough WMA. I was gonna take my 22 rifle. Luckily I talked to a friend of mine on the phone and he told me its shotgun only. Glad he told me or I would have broken the law

He shot the deer knowing good and well it was out of season. Thought he could lie his way out of it.

saw a guy at richlom that had killed a doe and tried to skin it at the skinning rack.. he got arrested.

I'm guessing he just didn't know. If he was intentionally poaching the animal he probably would have tried to hide it in his rig instead of checking it in. Who knows though? Either way, it's a deer shot out of season...ticket is in order.
