My Grandparents still go back to west africa twice a year for mission work with the living water project, My aunt and uncle and their 4 kids used to do work in MAli until they had to evactuate during a coo. they now live in S. Africa and run an orphanage for children of aids patients funded by the same church. Most of these pcitures were taken in the 60's but the first few were maybe 20 years before that. You are correct, those are some kind of geese. Dad says he got those in flight with one shot... The heinea chrarged him and his brother from 200yds, they put 5 rounds in it... the last one being from 10 feet.... not sure of the guns, but yeah the used what ever they had to get the job done.
