I have never hunted with dogs nor seen anyone ever hunt with dogs. Ive only ever still hunted. I have nothing against people running dogs though.
I don't think it was a attack on you or your friends Skunk Ape. Let's face the fact that there are a ton of idiots in the woods and that includes still hunter's. What needs to be done is have a dog season as they have bow, ml, and gun. From what I understant is dog hunter do not have alot of areas that they can run their dog's. So if they made it a season then they open up more wma's for them to hunt. I know I'm new to the huntting thing but would this not make things better for all?
Ok before this gets out of hand... Heres the deal. Richlom is a DOG HUNTING WMA. Before you go there remember this. If you cant handle the dog hunting, then dont hunt there. Yes there are buttheads in every walk of life. If you compare the amount of still hunting to the amount of dog hunting areas the still hunting is 95 percent and the dog hunting is 5 percent. Dog hunting areas are hard to find for dog hunters to use.
With that said.. Remember Dog Hunting is just as much a form of hunting as hunting with a weapon. Please respect everyone for they way they hunt.
Just cause a person dog hunting had a minor in the back of his truck with a weapon and being very dangerous it dont mean that all dog hunters do that.

and Citrus, Potts, Flying Eagle, Jumper Creek, Halfmoon, Lake Panasofkee. All of those are just north of SR 50 and all of those are in either Citrus or Sumter Counties. Also down by green swamp you got Upper Hillsbough WMA.
Well, ya cant really count Upper Hillsborough. your just seeing the WMA list. Upper hills. is only open for a couple weeks and is closed now. Im more less venting. Im more interested in what CrOck said. Its out of Control. Something needs to be done about it and if it takes a couple years, So be it. as for me Hunting for the rest of the season, I like Green swamp. its a little closer. Im thinking of Flying over and talking some photos of the area to get a fresh look at the place. Google earth and map quest have out dated photos. if anyone wants to go, let me know.
