I still Hunted Richloam since I was 15. Im 38 now. Over the years the Dog runners have just gotten worse. There needs to be more FWC regulatin in that WMA. It should be and i think it is Illegal to drive down a road with a minor in the back with a loaded frirearm. These guys are a bunch of Idiots.
What can I do to start the process of hopefuly one day making Richloam a total still hunt WMA ? or at least make half of it still hunt. Its rediculous that the only place to hunt lacally is Green Swamp. Wich is where Im going for now on.
Honestly, your guess is as good as mine. You would have to probably get a petition to do that. You know those dog hunters wont be happy. I know Camp Blanding and other WMAs have it separated like that though so I know it can be done. That might be a big process though to get that going and it might take a few years
richlom is out of control from what im told. ive heard some stories of people getting run off the road and left for a tow truck to pull them out of a ditch and so on..not to say it was a dog hunter.. its just the locals. i never hunted there but have been there driving around practicing my turkey calls there on the off season.It is beautiful there but theres allways croom, chazz, and homosasssa.
and Citrus, Potts, Flying Eagle, Jumper Creek, Halfmoon, Lake Panasofkee. All of those are just north of SR 50 and all of those are in either Citrus or Sumter Counties. Also down by green swamp you got Upper Hillsbough WMA.

Well, ya cant really count Upper Hillsborough. your just seeing the WMA list. Upper hills. is only open for a couple weeks and is closed now. Im more less venting. Im more interested in what CrOck said. Its out of Control. Something needs to be done about it and if it takes a couple years, So be it. as for me Hunting for the rest of the season, I like Green swamp. its a little closer. Im thinking of Flying over and talking some photos of the area to get a fresh look at the place. Google earth and map quest have out dated photos. if anyone wants to go, let me know.
