Can't think of a better forum. If it's wrong to post here, please move it.
I was checking some unrelated info on a town near where I lived back 'nawth', and discovered some startling info! This town has been 'protecting Bambi' for as long as I remember. Hunting has been illegal for at least 30 years! Now, the state wildlife biologist is pushing for them to open several hundred acres (a lot of land there) to hunting due to too many road kills and impact on neighborhood gardens, etc.
My son has long complained of the number of road kills in the area. Can you imagine the potential for MONSTERS to come out of land that hasn't been hunted in 30 years???
My son's just waiting to walk in!

I will donate my deer harvesting services free of charge to this town to assist with their problem.

hey fldxt i think the town would need people who actually are able to kill deer. a bystander wouldn't be any help. lol

Sorry guys, but for now it's gotta be a little secret. As I said, I found the info by accident, so I don't know how many others know.

I can tell you it's north of Boston, Massachusetts and near the NH border. Mass. doesn't do lotteries like you do here. It's basically 1st come, first serve. They MAY try to limit it to town residents at first, but if history is any teacher, the residents of this town wouldn't know how to load a gun, let alone hunt with one! They are very much everything liberal- remember, they outlawed hunting for those 30+ years! I wouldn't be surprised if they try somehow to block this move by the biologist. Another town did that a few years ago and the overwhelming deer herd was decimated by disease- some "eco-friendliness", eh?

I do promise to share pics! And info when I can.
