Wouldn't worry about it. If it has things deep frozen when you unplug it, you're good for that trip. Ever taken out a frozen turkey and waited for it to thaw on the counter? Eight hours later the thing is still harder than a bowling ball! A full freezer with a good seal would take at least 24 hours to really show any signs of defrosting.
I mad it up here to NC with mine with out anything melting.
boitch is packed up and ready to go.. i got it in the truck and a extension cord to it plugged in getting extra frozen before i leave.. lolll.. Headin up to hunt camp!!
Don't forget to unplug it before you leave. It could make it hard to plug back in if you leave the power cord attached to the extension cord in your driveway in South Florida.
Ah...okay. Nevermind then. When you get where ur goin with it, gimme a call. I'll come roll up the cord for ya. And haul it straight to the metal recycling center. Should gimme enough for the copper in it to pay for the lease for the next 20 years.
