My buddy and I got on a new lease just east of Perry and were told that there are bears on the property also. The guys on the lease said if you mix soybean with your corn that the bears will leave it alone? Don't know how true it is but will try it if we need to. My buddy went up and checked the feeders yesterday and everything seems ok so far. Good luck.

Bears will eat soybeans. I had always heard the same thing, but have sat in the stand and watched them chow down on them
I have heard that when they eat soybeans, they swell up in their stomach and give them a bad belly ache. So they usually won't do it twice
I am running straight soybeans in my feeders now till fall when the deer need carbohydrates
