maybe I ourhta think about a bigger knife, I've been using a gerber trout and bird knife on a neck lanyard forever and its only as long as my pinky now. I've got a bunch of belt/sheath knives, but don't like sitting with them, and folders always get gunked up with fat and hair when field dressing. damm I think I'm becoming a crotchety old fart, very fussy about my gear.
you only need three.. when i shot my hot i shot it 4 times cause the first 3 shots missed cause i was using a turkey choke and was shooting way high.. and didnt know.. it took me about 1 second to load another round in that gun .. didnt even give the hog enough time to charge. just keep 3 shots in.
Yea it has to be plugged to only old 3 total shots. 2 underneath and 1 in the chamber
shotgun is 3 rounds. if you dont have a plug, dont load more than 3, including one in the chamber. if you dont have a plug and they check you and you have 3 or less, you are ok. get a plug so there is no confusion.
That is not correct, if you have the ability to load more then three rounds you can still get a ticket. Not sure about large/small game, but I have receoved a warning for not having a plug in my dove gun. I had a huge mag extender on an old 12 and didn't rig up a plug yet. I only loaded three rounds but had the abiility to load many more and the Grouper Trooper said that it was in fact illegal.
good to know, i guess i need to get a plug before i go dove hunting again. i never load more than 3 while bird hunting, was always told it was alright, i guess better safe than sorry though. thanks for the clarification.
Nacho, as far as a side arms go I would carry the 357 mag. because you cannot go wrong with a wheel gun.
