You are not that far from bull creek. a lot of people out there but most are lazy and dont want to walk.I walk at least a mile
to my stand and stay in the swamp.You can also take a shottie and walk the palmetto fields for hogs in midday.Also try to go on a week day..Hope this helps
Yea I've heard about bull creek and a couple others have said about the same thing you just did. I got no problem walking a few miles so maybe I will start looking at aerial maps and get a game plan set up. Thanks for the tip.
Jim are you close to Holipaw? I did a job there last summer and there are some giant buck deer down thataway.Best thing to do if I were you is hang out with some of the redneck kids that hunt or date some of the country girls that hunt and maybe thier daddy's will take you hunting.You'll meet someone who'll take you out hunting sooner or later.
Haha, sounds like a plan. My best luck though is to move in with an uncle in Arkansas that lives in a real small town with a whole lot of good hunting land.
I guess the bottom line is money. Big bucks bring big bucks .If you want to hunt private ,secluded land you will have to pay for it. There's plenty of good public land but you have to play the quota game and maybe get lucky with a draw. Best thing to do is get the woods-n-water magazine,look in the back at the classifieds there's usually hundreds of leases in Fl,Ga, and Al. I still think your best bet is hook up with a girl who's daddy has a ranch or farm. That's what I did and I've had 17 years of great hunting and bad fights.
