I've gotten pretty anal about bringing my GPS with me if I'm gonna walk down a trail or away from my stand just in case. I get turned around pretty easy sometimes.
hunting alone is a whole different ballgame, actualy it's more like scouting than hunting cuz I won't shoot anything very/too far back that I won't be able to get out alone. I should get a game cart but those things only realy work well on trails anyways.plus when alone and planning on going deep or into new areas I always carry enough to stay out overnight if I had to.
When I go out alone I always have too much food and drink in the cooler just in case. Right now in my woods cooler is a six pack, sorry, 5 pack of bud, 5 or 6 big gatorades and the same of water. You never know when your gonna get stuck in the Glades.
don't forget the cotton balls soaked in vaseline, a myriad of uses.
up in georgia, there has been somebody hurt already and season is only 1 week in. Guy from Perry, FL fell from his stand and broke his back, hunting by himself, drug his azzz back to the truck about 1/2 mile. his phone was in the truck.
