Not sure what the power company up there would charge. My FIL does all kinds of electrical work, but I don't know any of the details.
Here's the breakdown down south:
Meter combo--$100
Riser pipe and wire--$150
Ground system--$20
Rv outlet wired--$35
Misc.--$25
25' wood pole--$180 down south probably cheaper up north.
Don't know what they would charge to set the pole up there. I pay a $250 min.
Permit--less than $100
Power co.--?????
Down south I can't put up a permanent service on a 6x6 but you never know up there. Sometimes the power co. won't charge anything if it's close. They figure they'll get their money in the long run. During the week I'd call the permit dept. and the power co. to see what they'll let you do.
I am all abouy B, power, water and comfort, you can use that to findanother space.
With A you have the added cost of gas for generator, running to town to get stuff, hauling water, ice, etc.
I'd say go with B and get settled down there, then start looking for just the right place.
Ditto. If you need help clearin a little spot for your camper up toward the road end of the lot, I'm sure we can figure something out. You'd only need a area about 25 foot square to park the camper and put up a little deck. Chainsaw and bush hog, and we could be done in a day or 2 tops.
