I do have to say that sometimes repoting poachers does work. My friend is the park ranger at silver lake and he told me about some guys scouting Croom off of the river that found some stands and corn piles in the WMA.Game Wardens hid in the woods and busted them bow hunting in there.Took their bows and trucks too I think. He said they cried like babies and they said they didn't know they were breaking the law.
Ive read lots of stuff online about the GW bustin people all the time in Croom and Richloam with corn. They are always bustin people for hunting doves over corn too.
they must be stupid enough to put the corn close to the road.. cause GW never walks their lazy ass in the woods.. or at least far in.

You obviously have never run into one of the "investigators" have ya? They dont drive, they walk the woods, listen and sit and watch. There was one that worked in Sumter, its either Hensley or Smith, but they will walk up to you in the middle of the swamp. Last turkey season, the guys that i hunt with shot two birds opening morning in Flying Eagle WMA and they set the birds down next to a tree and went for a little walk cause it was still early and they were just kind of scouting around. When they came back to the birds the GW was waiting for them. Literally scarred the sheet right outta them. Nothin happened though no tickets or anything.
Ive also seen them lurkin around all the times in the swamps. They hide their trucks when they park so you have no idea if they are there or not. Most of them know what they are doing

BS
I hunt no less than a half mile in, usually more and have seen them in that far
i walk 5 or more miles sometimes and never saw a gw anywhere but in the truck on the road..
