took my 336 35 cal and rem 1100 lt 20 ga with slug bbl to chazz public range. after doing Bubba mods to open sights the 35 ended up with 1 1/4" 50 yd groups from the bench and I'm leaving the sights and loads alone, that one is done. the 20 ga elev site kept sliding, so got home stripped it down, cleaned it out with brake cleaner and put it back together with locktite. hope that solved the sliding issue and will have to recheck zero 1 more time.
I thought most everyone was shooting 2-3" groups at the range at 100yds. I have never really been to a public range though so I'm not sure. I thought I was a terrible shot for messing up every dozen or so shots and letting one stray over 3 inches off. We have our own shooting range so I never shoot around anyone but a few friends and my family and most all of them are better shots than I am.

The best one I ever saw was back several years at the Dade city gun range. It was when the AR craze had just hit. You could tell this dude had walked into a gun store with a fist full of money and said..."Give me one of them assault rifles and I want everything I can get on it". He had more shit on that thing than Kemster does. He even had the tactical clothes(jacket/pants/glasses) to match
he shot at 50 yards for over 2 hours and never one time hit paper. People were laughing at him and he just kept shooting and whistling
