I agree

I have started hunting from a ground blind and i find i off hand shoot even more from it. I say you have to practice off hand you never know when it will happen.

For instance my friend shoot a buck that scored a 127 net (In a WMA with out antler restrictions) when he was walking back to his truck.

I always have a shooting stick with me and one of those telescopic ones in my blind. I don't shoot like the guys on TV, because I don' shoot that much. I should shot more. practice is good, I do shoot alot of sporting clay.

I did great at 25 & 50 yd's then to 100 and after 30 rounds or so stunk the place out. with my new 35, and hand loads can hit golf balls freehand at 25, playing card size at 50 and minute of broad side of barn at 100. where I plan on hunting with it shots beyond 30 yd's would be highly unlikely, but we know hunting can be like a box of chocolates.

Being able to consistanly pull off 2 to 3in groups in a controlled atmosphere like the range is nice for showing the boys how consistant you can be. Still it does not mean squat. I have a friend that out shoots me all the time at the range on his property. Now take him to the deer stand, and my shot to kill ratio destroys his. All his range practice does nothing to control his buck fever, and he has still not killed a deer. I like to shoot my guns just enough to make sure they are relatively on. All my 06's sighted 2in high at 100yds with the windage being the most important focal point. So maybe these guys have there guns sighted in high to accomadate longer range shots. At 2in high at 100yd my 06 is dead on at 50yds, and dead on at 200yds. I know this, and some times try different aiming points to see where my bullet ends up. Instead of just pumping rounds into the same holes over, and over again. Than again maybe they just suck!
