Hog hunting with shot gun

not too sure.. i have a mossy 835 and it cannot shoot slugs cause it has a bigger barrel. but i think you can screw in an open choke and shoot rifles slugs.. id make sure first.. not sure.. i dont shoot slugs cause i dont have a shotty that can.

I have used my 500 with slugs or buckshot and had very good luck with both!My barrel is the cantilevered scope mount bbl and I can shoot sabot or foster slugs great.For shot I use my double bbl!!

I have 00 buck shot now, no slugs.

Keep in mind this issue, Hogs have a cartilidge shield across their rib cage that goes from below their neck to behind the last rib. This offers them protection from being cut when fighting with another boar.

00 Buck gives you nine pellets in a 2 3/4 shell at 1325fps. #1 Buck gives you 16 pellets in a 2 3/4 shell at 1250fps. Now coupled with a full choke, it delivers a hell of a blow....
