Saw one doe around 8:30 and that was it.
Hi, I went friday,sat,and sunday morning, The guy at the rockridge gate said someone got a 160 lb 8 pointer Friday morning, then 2 hogs on Saturday and a small 65 lb doe that someone hit with a viecle and left in the road... Saturday was COLD but Sunday was a lot colder, I flushed a large Doe on my way to my stand at 430 saturday night, but that was it for me... We got 1 more weekend to get er done .... then just small game maybe a hog
It seems to me that the evening hunt is the best. Stuff starts coming alive about 45 min. before dark. I think the Deer and Hog shut it down before daybreak. I FROZE my arse off today. The walk back was nice and warm from workin the body. in the stand for 1 hour and start freezing. What the Hael !!!!
It kills me that there are Deer 500 yards from my house and I gotta drive 37 miles.
the deer sure are movin now out there in green swamp with this cold weather, saw more than 10 the past two days, mostly doe from what I was able to see though...all btwn 9 and mid afternoon, but early morning and evening seem good too thats when some guys near me were gettin animals.
