I turn 35 Monday, so I am right behind you. I grew up with firearms, but we used them for match shooting. There seems to be a lot to learn, but my motivation is to get my boys into it when they are of age. I can barely fish, but I am working on that also.

Not at all too late!
Jay and I started from scratch 4 years ago, with no hunting friends or gun experience. We're 40 and 51! We've been having a blast and enjoying the fresh naturally fed game. We hunt it all, archery through turkey.

Never to late. A lot of us who have been hunting since we were young sometimes go through stages, I know I have. Started at age 12 with my father, uncles, grandfather and great uncles, at 44 years old I have had years hunting over 200 days and under 7 days. So many factors and day to day life can have an impact on your ability to enjoy the outdoors. My advice would be to get out and do it, no matter what your age or experience. Good luck and enjoy. Remember a great hunt and experience can mean nothing to clean (game), that's why its called hunting.

Thanks everybody, that's definitely encouraging. I don't know what I'll get in this year but I definitely want to be hunting next year. I've got two young girls so like you ArcheoGator, I want to get them around that early so hopefully it will catch on with them and I'll know they can take care of themselves in that manner one day if need be.

Thanks Bossman for the saying, that definitely puts perspective on it!

I'll be spending alot of time on the site. I know I have a lot to learn but I'm glad to have this site!
