Meriams turkey in the black hills of south Dakota with Mt. Rushmore in the background. I would be with my dad and uncle and we would roadtrip it hunting different states as we go capping it off in the black hills.
10 years ago My uncle got a company paid hunt to a place in south Ga, Sort of a lodge type deal but nothing fancy. It was a group deal so my three uncles , my dad , my grandaddy and my self went. Me , dad , and grandad hunted together yearly on quotas but It was the first time in years the whole family had all hunted together . Me and my dad killed a couple very nice bucks and my grandaddy got to shoot a few quail in front of some pointers which was something he was very passionate about but hadnt done in years. It was good times and made for some fine memories. Shortly after the hunt, dirty nasty cancer took my grandaddy from our lives. That was the last hunt I got to share with a very special man and true outdoorsman that was very close to me. No matter how big the rack or how long the beard its gonna take a helluva hunt to top that.
I think 1st off I'd have to say having a good morning or evening in the stand with one or both of my boys would be great. Especially when you're seeing game. They eat this stuff up and I want to encourage them as much as possible to be outdoors.
On a more personal note, a wild boar and stag hunt in Central Europe would be cool. The tradition, the preparation, the rituals, the BEER AND FOOD! Just sayin.....
I have had 2 dream hunts, New Mexico and Montana. Scored a 6x6 in New Mexico. In Montana I was sitting on a hillside waiting(dreaming) for my elk to into view when I felt my Dad, recently deceased, sit down beside me. We never got to do that together so it was really cool but my eyes got very watery. I didn't shoot anything that trip but Dad and I had a good time. Had my dream hunt in my mind. :clap
