the 4pt tree harness work good, but if hunting from the ground I get 2- sections of nylon webbing 2" wide and have a shoemaker sew a large loop on each end ( big enough for a large gloved hand ) about 6-8 feet long each and a carabiner. if alone you can pass the strap thru the hog/deers rear leg tendons, or around the neck, whatever you prefer, wrap the other strap across your chest and over one shoulder, pass one loop thru the other and conect your tether to the games with the carabiner and drag hands free, if with a buddy pass one strap thru the hamstrings and each of you has a handle. also usefull for hanging game or tethering yourself in a treestand. light cheap and takes up little room in a pack.they also work well as a hand hold to help get in and out of a treestand, or to pull your gun/pack from ground to stand.

id vote for just buying a game cart.. lol.. even using that drag its heavy. and it keeps getting snagged on stuff.. all that is good for is dragging it the road or where the game cart can get to.

You all are to modern for me,I never used nothing but a drag rope, rifle sling,or my belt.My belt has many uses,I can whip my kids ass with it is the main other purpose.I don't have to explain the uses for the rifle sling but I do use it as a rifle sling also.

when I got older and a little wiser, I always kept in mind how hard will it be to get this critter out of here if I do shoot it, and have taken some ribbing about passing up on easy shots. nowadays it's nice to bring along somebody's kid or a young strong newbie as a pack mule. I've never hunted with horses/mules or atv's but they must come in handy. just can't stand the noise from those atv's. I can see that here in fla I will be needing a game cart and climbing stand. only thing I don't like about climbers is that you need a tree with no branches, my hang ons I could put just about anywhere. unfortunately this last 10 days my vertigo has been acting up like a MFER, can't walk a straight line and forgetabout looking up, can,t even get in or outa bed without the room spinning around
