at least honey bees have a purpose and would think a bee keeper might do that for free if he gets to keep them. the honey they make is worth some bucks.
I got the crap bit out of me last year when a hog I shot died about 15' from a huge nest. I would drag it get stung and run, and repeat the process till it was far enough away. What a mess that was! I was tracking the blood and looked up to see a bigger boar straight humping my dead hog, no lie. He ran off before I got a shot on him lol. Ah the things you see in the woods
At one of my spots in Georgia I've got a wasp hive about the size of a basketball 10' up a twig with no limbs about 1" around. 10 yards from the stand. Gonna have to get rid of it but ain't figured out how yet. One bump into it in the dark and I'm gonna be hurting. Damn near ran over it on the 4 wheeler. :eek

Sounds like a hornets nest, mi amigo. Wait till cold weather and shoot it off the limb if you cant reach it to break it off. Toss it in a garbage bag, and put it over the tail pipe of your truck for a minute or 2. They will be dormant if its cold enough, and the exhaust fumes will kill them as they sleep
Hang the nest in your office for a decoration
Hornets nest it is. This thing looks like a 10' pool stick with a basketball stuck on top. I'd like to get rid of it sooner. Want to hunt that stand this weekend. Afraid I'm gonna stick something and have it stumble right into this tree. I was thinking I'd back the 4 wheeler right up to it and snip it off at the base and haul azz out. Thought I'd do it right before I left for home. May not be too smart but it would be funny as hell for someone else.
