just on a personell note, I hate it when you are hunting in thick stuff and you know your buds are less than 50 feet away and you can't see them, I won't fire if I know they are somewhere near and can't see them. hate to not be able to take a shot when all it would take is an orange ball cap that won't spook game anyway. I know sometimes even with the orange cap you still may not be able to see them.
If I am hunting with others no matter the property I always wear a vest and hat, ORANGE
OK,so most where orange because of safety. What about the guys carrying deer decoys or hunting with them. I always thought that was dangerous. I have had several momo's sneak up on turkey decoys on wma's.
and on private or public lands other than during the archery season.

Toby I can guaran-damn-tee you that by-and-large "the folks on this forum" are the finest examples of law-abiding hunters and sportsmen you'll find anywhere. Just because we question one of your statements doesn't make us a bunch of ignoramuses (ignorami?). We have quoted the printed FWC regs and Florida statutes that say blaze orange is NOT required on private property in Florida.
As frankwt pointed out, we are not questioning the wisdom of wearing the orange on private property, only the legal requirements to do so.
I always thought that it was the law,but the rules and regs plainly state on public land. Orange has never effected my hunting outcome.
