I wear it to/from my stand if I have to walk past anybody else's stand on the lease, but that's not an issue this year on my new lease. On WMAs, I wear it to/from my stand except during archery, and then I still wear a blaze camo hat. When in the stand, I hang the blaze vest on the tree so it doesn't flap, but can be seen.

Once again, never wore an ounce of hunter orange while hunting private property, never got a ticket. I don't think it is mandatory on private and can't find where it says it is.

Looked it up on Ask FWC heres what it says:

Although the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission recommends all hunters wear hunter orange while hunting, according to Florida Statute 379.3003, it is only required for hunters pursuing deer on public lands and WMAs (except during archery-only season). You can find the Florida Statutes online at http://www.flsenate.gov/statutes

Wear it if you want on private land.

TimeE1, that is what I was told by the fellow who checked our license last year and also when I called the state office. It is NOT required to wear orange on Private land. At least that is what FWC says. We are not talking about the "wisdom" of not wearing orange but the "requirement".
