yea its a good place i was invited last march right after i lost my job i applied when i was working then they called me and i had to decline there is a camp on the north end just west of the power lines that is where i lived during the season and still today miss that place i may try again when money gets better
Which area seems better for deer? I'm assuming Buck Lake (not because of the name), because of the terrain features. I'm not real big on hunting totally wet areas. I have this, um, "healthy" respect (read: FEAR) of those legless creatures, so I prefer to stick to areas where I don't have to wade thru swamps to get to my stand.
its a tree farm so there is alot of planted pines and some beautiful oak hammocks on the crane swamp side not sure about blue cypress side and buck lake we stayed around crane swamp but ive explored most of it it all has some deep stuff and some dry stuff but its been 8 years since i got to hunt there our camp killed the heaviest deer almost every year 1 year we killed a 159# 9 point its horn tips touched
